Axesrus "Classic" - Wide Range Version
In the process of creating the updated Classic, we’ve tried to keep the
name in mind, but without actually letting it pigeon hole us in the
design! With that at front of our thoughts, we’ve come up with something
that’s a little more modern tonally, a little more suited to to giving
you the tone you’d expect from a 1950s pickup, but with that bit more
range, that little more presence, that touch more “usability” in a 21st
century setting.

The Ethereal is a bit of a strange pickup on the face of it - it’s so highly wound at 17K that you’re instantly thinking “this is going to be high output/tons of gain/wont clean up” but its actually a bit “Sheep in wolve’s clothing” – and as such, performs much more like what we’d associate with a medium output humbucker.

Built around an oversized Ceramic magnet, 5mm hex poles and a pair of coils wound up to 14.5Kohm of 43 AWG Plain enamel wire – its an absolutely classic tone that’s lasted right up to the modern day.
