Locking tail piece posts are quite clever actually. The "top" section of the post unscrews onto the bottom, so its capable of "holding" the tail piece in situ, so it will never fall off and go missing mid string change.

Gibson, strangely, actually use M5 threaded posts on their Nashvilles posts/bushes, rather then an Imperial thread, which is a little confusing, but beyond that, its as you expect really. These are conversion posts - allowing you to fit "true" ABR style bridges onto guitars that were never designed to take them.

They screw into the M8 bushes you'll find on most "mid range" guitars made in the far east - most common on guitars like Epiphone®, but, really, anything that normally comes with a bridge with 6mm posts (easily identifiable because of the slot head in the post) and the part that sticks up, above the bush, is a 6-32 UNC section, which will allow you to fit a "real" ABR, with the smaller holes.

This is a Nashville bridge stud suitable for any Gibson® guitar, fitted with that style of bridge (NOT an ABR) released AFTER 2012.

Prior to 2012, Nashville bridge equipped Gibson® guitars used an 4mm post into an M5 threaded bush.
