This is an Aluminium grounding plate for the Fender® Precision® Bass - designed to sit between the body and the pickguard.

It acts as a fail safe (or complete replacement) for the grounding wires between the pots and jack socket, and it also, potentially, acts as a very effective shield against external interference.

This is "3core" wire - which is most commonly used for longer runs between the pots in the control cavity, and a toggle switch. It is also, occasionally used as a pickup hookup wire, where you require access to a "join" in the coils - such as coil splitting or tapping.

Each core is made of 22 AWG, 7 strands (7/30), insulated in PVC and the entire cable is screened with an unbraided multistrand "core", which can be used as a "5th" core in most applications (usually, the ground)

This is "4 core" wire - which is most commonly used as the hookup wire for pickups, specifically those with 2 coils, where you need access to the start and ends of each coil to facilitate more interesting switching options such as phase/series and coil splitting (or tapping).
