I have a set of these in my 2002 Squire Tele afinity and it's a very worthwhile upgrade. I bought the Bridge some years ago and left the normal wiring in place. When I got the neck I handed it to my luthier for fitting, along with new 500K Alpha pots and new switch (all courtesy of Axesrus ;) ). It sounds BRUTAL now, but still sounds like a Tele: Even the luthier (who must handle 100's of guitars a year!) commented how nice it sounded, so that's a real endorsement! Even better for those with a valuable guitar is the fact you don't need to do any routing so you can swap in/out without damaging your relic :)

I have completed the wiring on my TT73's to the best of my ability, tuned her up and - wow - what a difference! I noticed straight away the difference between 250k/47uF and 500k/22uF, with the latter being more open and detailed. Started with both pickups down to the metal, and didn't have to lift them up all that much to get into the zone. The dynamic range is quite incredible, with a lovely warm sweet sound. The quality electronics make such a difference and I am glad I chose linear pots for a more precise control.

I bought this to put into my Squier Vintage Vibe Telecaster bridge because I needed a hot pickup for my bands brand of blackened death metal. All I can say is that this delivers all I asked for and then some! My guitar still retains a little of the Tele brightness that really cuts through the stage mix, but its now a Tele with big cojones! It pairs excellently with my Randall T2 head, and also has none of the muddiness which I suffered with my other guitars active buckers. The service and communication I received from AxesRUs was second to none and much more personal and warm than with certain other pickup manufacturers. I am a very happy customer and one that shall be returning in the very near future! Buy this pickup if you have a Tele and play heavy. \m/

It's fitted and the guitar sounds great - transformed in fact. It is a Tele clone (Big Lou Wide Nut Rebel) and it sounded bloody awful as delivered - almost too bad to use, and nothing I did with the controls seemed to make any difference. It was either clang or muffled - yuk. The tt73's respond properly to the controls, and I have a wide range of tones to choose from now. It sounds like a Tele should sound I think

The Chrome/ black pickups also look very good indeed - I chose the red tortoiseshell pickguard for my black tele - classy.
