Gotoh have taken that classic "vintage style" machine head we're all familiar with, and really ran with it - building it around their brilliant Magnum thumb locking system to help improve stability, aswell as make stringing up that much easier.

But thats not all, seeing as these tuners are unlikely to appeal to the vintage purist either way, Gotoh are making them with a staggered post to help improve string tension across the nut, eliminating the need for a string tree on most guitars.

So all in all, if you love the idea of dealing with a vintage guitar, but the tunings driving you round the bend, these are a fantastic option to modernise without losing too much of the look.
