Description Technical Specs

These are, officially, a "Extended Range, Fan Fret, Slanted Humbucker Base" - which, as well as being a bit of a mouthful, because they turn up on fan frets that aren't extended range, and, presumably, turn up on extended range guitars that aren't fan fret!... but you get the idea.

Essentially, these things turn "normal" humbuckers into slated humbuckers, which turn up on those wonderfully wacky guitars, purely to keep the pickup "where it should be" in relation to the string/its vibration.

Tread VERY carefully with them, because these guitars suffer the usual problem when anything "new" turns up on the scene, and they're not all that well standardised - no ones quite decided which angle is best, or what size is best as yet - so, because we're dealing with a "slant" in the routing, the bases (which are, invariably, surface mounted) must have a matching angle - that's not necessarily the same as the angle of the frets/nut/bridge either. In short, its worth measuring (a protractor is your best friend)

Beyond that - they're not all that complicated a thing really. They're made from Brass, electroplated in black, they're available in 6 and 12 degree "slant", the mounting holes are 3/48 UNC (in case anyone wants to make a mounting ring for them)
