Description Technical Specs

This is a "very historically accurate" single coil board set, which might seem a bit of a strange thing on the face of it (how different can it actually be?!) - but there were some weird quirks in 1950s single coils that make them a little more interesting.

Basically, the original single coil pole spacing was marginally wider then the modern day versions, so these hit that note, using a 52.8mm spacing, drilled for 3/16" (4.75mm poles), and only available in black.

That means, they're a better fit in the Historic Nylon covers, which is the main reason they still exist frankly.

They have a few of the "warts" of the original design too. There are no "drive holes" (those holes between A and D and G and B holes on our other boards are designed to fit something into (depending on your winder) to drive the pickup) and there are no wire "notches" keep the start and ends of the wire neat and tidy when your terminating them to the eyelets.

These boards aren't for everything, they're going to be trickier to use, they're a wider spacing, so limit your choice of cover colours, but, if your making a very accurate reproduction of a 1950s Single coil? This is the way to do it.
