Please note - Loaded Pickguards come under the remit of Custom work and as always, if you've got any questions what so ever, please feel free to get in touch with us and we can talk through all the finer details of your proposed build.

We’ve been producing the Class Acts for nearly a decade now, and they still deliver the goods time and time again, even when compared to some of the newer, more specialised models we’ve created in recent years. They’ve been back to the prototyping team a few times, and every time, they come back exactly the same! The general consensus is that if you’re looking for a good, honest Single Coil pickup – they’re hard to beat, and are, without doubt one of the best all rounder’s we have on the books.

The inspiration for them came from the “grey base”pickups of the late 1960s, our aim was to produce a good Stratocaster® pickup for the guitarist who isn’t looking for anything overly complicated, and simply wants that characteristic tone – so we set about crafting that iconic tone.

All fairly standard parts in the construction, we used those Classic AlnicoV magnets to give that beautifully shaped quack that just screams out rock and blues. We’ve also used Formvar coated copper to give that little extra sparkle to the tone – something we really associate with this style pickup.

The neck and middle pickups actually have a lot in common with a 50s styled pickup, but without any of the draw backs. The middle pickup is reverse wound and reverse polarity to give hum cancelation in the 2 and 4 positions, and they are both voiced with a more mellow character in mind when compared to the razor sharp “true” 50s styled Daddy-Os.

The bridge, by comparison, takes heavy inspiration to the Legendary X-1 bridge that turned up in the early 80s, a hugely over wound single coil that will give a much more soulful, rich feel, ready to take on any lead and distorted work that’s on the horizon.

Used in combination with the middle, it also performs admirably, carrying across the bite and aggression from the “solo”bridge, but tempering it slightly with the creamy middle.

Now available pre-assembled!

With most of our more popular pickups, we always try to offer them on an assembly to make them much more accessible. At the end of the day, its daunting enough for anyone to start stripping down a guitar to bare bones – if you’re not 100% with your electronics, Assemblies and Looms are a great stepping stone, a brilliant way to learn what’s going on and you’ll get instant results!

5 of 5 Amazing value for money May 29, 2019

I'm not normally the type to write reviews but I have to say I'm blown away by how good these pickups sound.

Had discussed my order with Craig before purchase and he was super helpful too, definitely recommend these pickups, wired very professionally and sound like a dream.

The only small thing I would say is that these don't include the screws you'd need to attach the pickguard to the guitar, this isn't a problem if you're replacing / upgrading a pickguard but something to consider if you're building from scratch. As I say, only a small thing and shouldn't put anyone off this product, you'll struggle to find better sounding pickups at this price point.

5 of 5 Great sound November 30, 2016
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from ,
I am a professional musician and I have had many strats over the years and some sounded better than others. THis is however about the best sound I have had from a strat, (even expensive models) and suits my style of playing.
The service provided was simply excellent. I even changed my mind regarding colours etc after placing the order and it was changed with just a phone call.
Arrived promptly and fitted easily. What more can you ask.
Thanks

5 of 5 Groovy December 17, 2015
Reviewer: Pat Wilson from granadilla de abona, santa cruz de tenerife Spain
I have an 89 jap fat strat squier m series.. over the years I altered the pickups finally settling with a neck split rails standard middle single coil and a diamondback humbucker at bridge through a coil splitter Over time I wanted a rocky sound but less harsh more bluesy...the class act was in my price range Axesrus supply sound bites so kinda knew what I'd end up with before I got it
Great workmanship and well finished simple enough to fit and set up...wow that and the new dbl pivot bridge from here also just amazing.
I'm still experimenting with sound and tone at moment through my pod xt live and mixer but it hits the spot even without adjustment.
I've got milder distortions/overdrives now and it carries it no probs..even my harsher distortions it never loses the tone I want...the cleans??? I get hairs standing up with them add a bit of chorus??? Its all the and more.
Not the dearest on offer from Axesrus us but it does what it says on the tin lol..I totally recommend it.
