5 of 5 Alnico 2 version June 11, 2019
Reviewer: Adam Richards
the classic fifties deluxe as a bridge is a soft and almost wooly sounding pickup (in a good way of course). It sounds very reminiscent of the Paul Kossoff sound or a very modern Bonamassa style lead tone (where he rolls back the tone to take away the bite). Very nice for a very traditional classic rock sound.

5 of 5 Absolutely Amazing June 11, 2019
Reviewer: DIMITRIOS KOKKINOS from EGALEO-ATHENS, ATHENS Greece
I had them put on an Ibanez Art Core and the "personality" of the guitar completely changed. It's a terrific set that I would recommend to anybody who wants to get more "bluesy sounds" out of his guitar. Very versatile and vintage sound indeed that doesn't cost a fortune.
No more money spent on "big name" or boutique humbuckers!!
Congratulations guys!

5 of 5 That perfect well defined smooth lead sound... June 11, 2019
Reviewer: Sébastien Chassot from Bossonnens, Fribourg Switzerland
Have it as bridge pickup (With Alnico 2!) on a custom Bugnon build, paired with a Lollar Goldfoil in the neck position. Amazing pickup. Low output with excellent definition and perfect balance. Nice mids kind of focus, singing and articulate smooth highs, great pick sensibility. Love it.

Reviewer: Andrew Conner from Hessle, East Yorkshire United Kingdom
Bought a neck pickup (a2 magnet)  as i was putting together an Andy Summers style Telecaster from a standard Tele. This pickup has a lovely smooth warm tone. It is not a Heavy Rock/Metal pickup as it is far too subtle. It just doesn't crunch when overdriving an amp. Its a very bluesy or even jazzy tone.  Very nice quality construction too. Love it.

5 of 5 Tele Neck Bucker May 22, 2015
Reviewer: Neil from UK
Pickup arrived super fast!

Works well with the Heavy Heart in the bridge. The middle position switch tone is great and the neck on its own suits my needs, nice and bluesy but not muddy.

Overall nice sweet sound and not too high output, similar to my Stormy Mondays. The Tele is now a great gigging guitar which I will be able to take to cheaper gigs rather than my Gibson or fragile semi’s.

5 of 5 Outstanding sound for pound October 20, 2014
Reviewer: Pete Moulton from Little Baddow, ESSEX England
The Classic 50s Delux is a revelation in terms of tone, loudness and good build quality, at an awesome price that makes it hard to justify paying over £70 for a famous brand offering a similar tone.

I installed the Classic 50s Deluxe in the neck of my Harley Benton EX76 Explorer. The chrome cover looks more sympathetic to original Gibson design than the open coils. The tone from the Alnico III magnets is warm, mellow instead of muddy, with a hint of sparkle, and a clarity that was lacking before. I don't play Jazz, but could not resist playing jazz-esque phrases and chords to hear the individual note articulation and the clarity on chords. The sustain rings for a few seconds longer than before. At no point did the 7.07 K Classic 50 Deluxe sound swamped or drowned out by the 11.20 K stock bridge humbucker. The mix position also sounds better as the mature tone of the Classic 50s Deluxe helps tame the shrill nasal honk of the stock bridge pickup and adds clarity to the mix position.

5 of 5 Worth a Punt ! October 29, 2013
Reviewer: Mas from Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire England
I have a 22 year old Fender USA Strat and have always had an issue with the bridge single coil pickup (too bright and thin sounding). I decided to change to a humbucker, which meant a new scratchplate and I decided to ditch a tone control (who needs 2?)
Anyway, based on the review and sound samples, I took a chance on this inexpensive solution.
Verdict: Absolutely brilliant !

5 of 5 Got an SG & want a Les Paul but cheaper? August 19, 2013
Reviewer: john atkins from duns, berwickshire England
I had a Vintage(make)SG,but the stock sound was uninspiring. The circuit died, but the basic guitar was worth saving. After listening to the sound samples of the various humbuckers that axesrus sell,I decided to buy a pair of the 'classic 50's deluxe.I also purchased the upgraded CTS pots & switchcraft 3-way, all beautifully pre-wired by Craig.Talk about chalk & cheese, these pups sound better than a certain big brand 59 reissue I once owned!OK,so I wouldn't say it sounds like a typical SG,but I much prefer the 'Paul' type quality that this pair of lovelies possess, and of course the weight saving is amazing! If you want a superior all-round set of buckers(which, believe me)can still do a brilliant Angus Young tone too, then I have no hesitation in recommending these. The service I received from axesrus was exceptional too. Thanks alot Craig.

5 of 5 Fantastic Pickups UPDATE 29 7 2013 July 29, 2013
Reviewer: Michael daffern from Wolverhampton, west midlands United Kingdom
Installed in a 2011 gibson les Paul. I understand my good friend David contacted you regarding pickups, this is due to how good we think they sound. The pickups are very sweet and open sounding, I play funk, soul, classic 70's rock, blues, Motown and fusion. Amps used are either a fender blues deluxe or a mesa boogie lonestar classic 212. They have been played live every week since being installed and I have no intention of changing them.  As yet I have not recorded with them but intend too over the next few months. I also plan on installing a pair into my Gibson midtown custom.
UPDATE 29 7 2013. Still in AND still played all the time. GREAT GREAT pickups and service
