These covers are identical to our "normal" humbucker covers, with one weird difference.

Where a "normal" modern cover is the "colour" electroplated onto a thin layer of copper, which has been electroplated onto the base material (simply to give a higher quality finish - copper being more reactive then either brass or nickel)

"Vintage" covers have the "colour" electroplated directly onto a nickel (german silver) base - so no copper in there.

Tonally, this is argued to be "purer" then a modern cover, changing the tone less, but the lack of copper does generally give a slightly worse finish to the piece.

Tonality aside, they're still very well finished, and they're ideal for vintage correct builds and repairs, or relic jobs (where you can remove the electroplating and expose the nickel (rather then getting down to the copper, which looks a bit strange!)

Worth nothing too - the unplated cover here, is identical to the "normal" unplated version - just in here as well as the other product for simplicity sake
