Description Technical Specs

Please be aware, you have opened the "more options" section, which means your really getting into the customisation of the pickups - and thats fantastic! It'll really allow you to make the pickups your own, so wether your looking to make a set that matches up with a certain historic specification, or you' re trying to match a single pickup to another from a different manufacturer - this is the way to do it!

Its worth keeping in mind though, that with every tweak you make, you'll be getting further and further away from what we'd call the "standard setup", and as such, that means the pickups will come under the remit of Custom work

S90s - A tone of their own!

Anyone whos spoken to us over the past few years regarding pickups will probably know very well how highly we rate Alnico 3 magnets - and with the hugely popular T90s and Classic 50s Deluxes causing waves of their own, it only seemed right to introduce a single coil using these cracking little magnets!

The “neck” pickup is the most traditional of the bunch, and the model we’d recommend for this slot in most setups – its big and warm, but is lacking in that creamy “chime” you’d associate with most single coils. Certainly not one for the purists, but incredibly usable if you’re looking to get a lot out of your guitar.

The "middle", is a touch spicier then the neck pickup, thick, muscular, aggressive and ideal for harder blues and rock players.

The bridge is the show piece in the set for us – it’s big, its blisteringly hot, it goes like a steam train – and most importantly, it sounds absolutely nothing like a Strat®!

Supplied with cover (choice of colour) and screws (choice of colour) and springs as standard, and with a few little extra options to really help you nail the tone your chasing.

I've used strat pups from many of the major manufacturers. But for this hotrod '54 build, I wanted to give it some punk attitude and thought, axesrus do a S90 if I remember...nice and cheap too. Fitted them last night and plugged it into a Marshall and smiled. You all know what I'm talking about. You don't even know you're doing it! 25 mins later, your face hurts from smiling, we've all been there. I REALLY like the drive tone. I've got a set of the Axesrus Texas Blues in my '66 build which is nice and stratty, but sometimes you gotta have 4 chord 2 minute punk songs and this totally nailed it! Really enjoying the tone.
