A slight twist on the classic Nashville plate, we’ve widened out the pickup slots to take 2 single coils. This really does give you the best of both worlds when it comes to tonal options, all that snap and jangle of a proper T style bridge, teamed up with the flowing, soulful creaminess in the neck and middle.

Probably most recognisable as the setup used by Francis Rossi, this really does kick the humble T into a whole new gear. Ideally, we like to team this plate up with a 5 way switch, giving you that classic “big ” tone using the middle pickup in combination with the neck and bridge.

Beyond the obvious modification to the pickup slot, the plate is the basic 1963 to 1988 Spec 1 plate, initially designed to combat the warping problems seem in the 50s.

The Following on from the gradual phase out of the 5 hole config in 1959, the 8 hole setup has pretty much lasted the test of time to the modern day.

Initially created to combat the warping seen on earler plates in hotter climates, the extra stability provided by the 3 extra screws kept the guitar looking like new for much longer. The 8 hole design is sometimes credited to Muddy Waters, who actually fitted 4 extra screws to his guitar (most likely a re-sprayed 50s model) but dates are sketchy at best, so that will probably remain a legend for many more years.

A perfect fit for our Spec 1 control plates.
