Description Technical Specs

Wilkinson's take on the vintage style trem, mounting with another unique design tweak, the screw spacing is a “universal fit” where elongated holes mean the trem will fit on a body drilled anywhere from 54mm (2 1/8”) right up to 56.4mm (2 7/32"). And as usual, the WV6 sports the narrower string spacing at 54mm (2 1/8”) found on most Wilkinson trems.
The narrower spacing gives a much more stable string lie across the neck, limiting the possibilities of the E strings slipping off the frets, a great little touch for anyone who likes their hammer ons and pull offs.
The steel block is also sports staggered string holes to make corrections to the intonation a relatively simple job, without putting too much stress on the saddles, and as with all steel blocks, it helps magnify the overall sustain, brightness and top end, resulting in a more expansive tone.
Another nice feature on the Wilkinson trems is the push in whammy arm. A simply solution to an age old problem! Wilkinson have installed a  “clamping” bush inside the block, secured by a small bolt on the rear of the block.
All in all, these really are a great tremolo, flawless construction, innovative design and very competitively priced.
Supplied with trem arm, springs, screws, claw and alan key.

5 of 5 Top quality upgrade from Wilkinson. December 31, 2019

I'd built a Partscaster using, for convenience, a Squier Strat body that came with the usual zinc block tremolo, minus the whammy bar.
It was shocking.
However, this Wilkinson unit has transformed the project (along with locking tuners and a bone nut).
Easy to install and set up - intonation now good and guitar holds tune just fine.
If I could upload a photo, I would.
Buy one.

i was looking to replace the trem on an otherwise great guitar & couldnt find anything suitable at the time so i ordered a wilkinson wv6 trem just needed 1 slight adjustment to the guitar - trem works perfectly ( admittedly i do lock the trem down on a strat ) id recommend this trem as a replacement on the squire classic vibe strat - right price too !

5 of 5 Great Trem - Thanks January 27, 2014

I'd intended to get the Wilkinson for some time - I have a 1993 Korean Squier Strat with a really nice neck and a plywood body which, although surprisingly resonant - and light, is less than full-depth, which makes upgrading difficult to impossible. My brother-in-law recently gave me a Chinese made Squier with a full sized, wood body,  so with a minimum of fettling I've swapped the necks over. Both vibrato bridges are somewhat cheap and nasty, and the Wilkinson with the steel block and incremental improvements over the original Fender design seemed like a no-brainer!
