Upgrade your tuners and improve the tuning accuracy and stability of your 6 In line headstock guitar with Hipshot's Grip-Lock Upgrade Kit. With the patent pending UMP™(Universal Mount Plate) included free in this kit, tuners will retrofit without drilling or screwing.

Grip-Lock Open Guitar Tuners by Hipshot take the chore out of string changes and increase your tuning stability at the same time.

Instead of your old, time consuming string changing ritual, simply pull the string through the hole and tighten the thumbwheel. A small pin inside the string post will grip your string and lock it in place for worry free tuning!

Liked the vintage set so much, I bought a set of the open back locking for my Warmoth Strat. Very stable and smooth. Another great Hipshot product.

these are great, precision tuners - I just put a set on my Nashville Tele - just watch the install vid - they are easy to install. Makes changing strings a breeze - highly recommended!!

When I needed new tuners for my early 90s Ibanez RG470, I spent days researching tuners before landing on these. The install took less than 15 minutes . They turn like butter. Wish I would have installed them when I first got the RG. Now I just need to get sets for my other two guitars.

I purchase an inexpensive Aria guitar to fix up. All my friends said "fixing this guitar is like putting lipstick on a pig" guess what with a bone nut & saddle, Lute Hole soundhole cover & Holey guitar strap, the best guitar parts are these Hipshot tuners. This guitar now sounds like a Martin D28. Thank you Hipshot for making such a superb

My Son and I installed these tuners on his Ibanez guitar. The Universal Mounting Plate worked awesome!! I will say the Ibanez tuning peg holes are 5/16" Dia. These tuners requires a hole just a little bit bigger than 3/8" Dia. We carefully used drill bits to widen out the hole one size at a time until we reached 3/8". From there, we used a dowel rod and 150 grit sand paper to finish the hole to a perfect snug fit. Other than the little extra work at increasing the tuning hole size, the installation was a breeze! I am very impressed with these tuners. The quality of craftsmanship is amazing! Thanks Hipshot!!
