Description Technical Specs

Basically, the “Heavy Heart” pickups are a vintage setup wound for an incredibly modern sound. Just think ‘Tele® on steroids!” and you’ll have a good idea of the final tone.
The bottom end is absolutely huge, the highs crisp and defined and the middle is slightly boosted, giving that characteristic big, space filling sound you’d expect from these larger than life pickups, but with that classic warmth running through the sound. It’s a great combo giving a strong depth of flavour to your classic Telecaster®.

5 of 5 Heavy Heats April 22, 2015

My tele always played really nicely but was let down by the rather lifeless stock 1990s Japanese pickups. The heavy hearts have got me the sound I wanted.

The bridge has got all the twang without the brittleness of some tele pickups and the neck is really warm and full.

I particularly like the in-between sound which is awesome for cutting through in the band without ‘shouting too loudly’ if you know what I mean.

The series option has given a new dimension to the guitar – really fat and most un-tele-like. Works particularly well with a bit of drive.

The phase switching sounds are ‘interesting’. It sounds a bit like an auto-wah – very ‘honky’ which could be useful in funky situations.

All in all, I’m really pleased with the heavy hearts and they’ve made my old Japanese Fender sound like a much better quality instrument.

When my ship comes in and I get a posh tele I’ll definitely stick a set of these in.

5 of 5 Heavy Heart pick us March 30, 2015

A well known pick up producer by the name of Mr Armstrong once rewound the neck pick up of my old tele after it bit the dust... The result was amazing full solid tone that could pin you to the wall... Having built myself a new tele I wanted to replicate that sound and after trying several different configurations I settled on the HH's they won't disappoint, the neck is the closest I've ever got to my old tele and the bridge just oozes energy whether clean or overdriven... You really really do not have to spend hundreds of pounds on pick ups... Very Highly  recommended...

5 of 5 Neck Pick Up September 27, 2014
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Bought the neck pick up to replace the current p/up on a Squier CVC Telecaster. I was looking for something with a lot more output and not too trebly. I have a GFS Lil Puncher (rails p/up) in bridge which is way too fierce but when used in middle pos' sounds good with the HH. The HH on its own can be mellow enough for playing Jazz and Soul/Blues which is ideal for me. Very similar in sound to a well known brand Quarter P'. I have a lot of guitars I gig with as I have been playing pro' gigs for 40 years and would not hesitate gigging with this. A great price and great service, any time I have emailed I have got a fast response. First class.

After long thinking I finally bought Heavy Heart for bridge position. The sound is amazing! Sharp like a blade and with dist turned on it's howling like a wild animal. I am playing in drop b. Warm recommendation.
