These switches have been in production for decades at this point - once upon a time, they were pretty much exclusive to Epiphone® guitars, but in recent years, they turn up absolutely everywhere - Fender®, Squier®, Tokai®, PRS®... you name it! If theres a mid range guitar with a toggle switch, chances are its one of these.

They are entirely metric bits of kit, with an M12 thread for mounting the switch to the body, and an M3.5 thread for the tips.

In the grand scheme of things? They're "alright" - they do what it says on the tin, toggling between 3 positions, either input 1, both inputs or input 2 - which translates to "Bridge, Both, Neck" if we're thinking about this as a pickup switch.

I will say, these aren't the most robust switch on the planet, and never have been. Expect about 5 years of reasonable service from them before the leaf springs eventually start to wear and the contacts mounted there become a little "fickle".

If your a part time player, then that'll be fine - those "5 years" will likely last you a life time - but if your flicking that switch 50 times a day, every day? I'd maybe suggest going for something like the Switchcraft short bodied toggle myself - much more robust, much high quality materials, much less prone to wearing out (I'm not overselling it to say this, but expect 20 years from Switchcraft)

One thing to watch out with when fitting these switches too - handle them with kid gloves. The leaf springs are integral to how they function, and if they get "squeezed" during installation, they'll deform, and your'll have a dead switch. If i can give you one piece of advise? Only ever hold the switch by the tip or the thread, never but the "guts" - it'll save you a headache in the long run!
