That Classic Tele® - just a little more refined!
The Axesrus® Vintage Bridge, designed to fit a Fender® Telecaster® or similar models with the 4 screw bridge.
We're
breaking away from the traditional Tele® Bridge here, and taking heavy
inspiration from the rarely used bridge on the 1972 Custom model, with a
few little twists of our own to bring this bridge in line with what
people really want from their Telecaster®.
With this design,
we’ve taken those 6 individual saddles (rather than the 3 “2 string”
saddles), purely because they’re going to give you unrivalled control
over your intonation and action, but rather than stick with the Zinc
saddles used historically, we’ve brought in those beautiful polished
brass barrels to really nail that classic Tele® tone!
The
advantages of brass saddles vs Zinc (and steel) aren’t really very well
documented, but in short, they’ll give a wonderful warmth to a
Telecaster®, and with the right pickups, can really help balance out
this often sharp guitar thanks to their softer structure and higher mass
being in direct contact with the strings.
We’ve really smoothed
out the old “Ash Tray” design here too, taking special care to maintain
the look of a lipped, vintage Telecaster® bridge, but without some of
the more “rustic” edges you’ll see on many production guitars. Our
bridge is silky smooth, no sharp edges
The base plate itself is
made from 1.5mm piece of cold rolled steel, so the surface is absolutely
immaculate thanks to the low level of slag on the surface of the steel,
and the chrome plating gives a perfect mirror finish, with no Axesrus®
branding as we strive to keep these bridges looking classy and neutral.
All
in all, whilst it’s still pretty close to the old vintage design that
people have come to know and love, there’s a few nice little twists in
there that really do bring the Telecaster® bridge a little more up to
date, without compromising the tones you’re going to get from your
guitar.
